Subscription and billing terms
Last updated 22 October 2026
These terms cover paid plans for bakeries. Plan names, prices and included features are shown in the app on the plans page.
1. Plans and prices
A plan is per bakery and is priced in pounds sterling, either monthly or yearly, with the features listed on the plans page. Featured placement, where it is included, is subject to availability.
2. Starting a plan
Request a plan from your bakery dashboard. While card payments are not switched on, CakeConnect confirms and activates the membership by hand and tells you when it starts.
Once card payments are live, plan fees are collected by card through our payment provider.
3. Card payments and your details
When card payments are live, card details are handled and stored by our payment provider, not by CakeConnect. We keep only the references we need to show you your plan and its status.
4. Renewal
Plans renew automatically at the end of each period until you cancel. If we change a plan price we will tell you before the next renewal, and you can cancel before it takes effect.
5. Cancelling
- You can ask to cancel at any time from your bakery dashboard.
- Your plan stays active until the end of the period you have already paid for, then stops renewing.
- Cancelling does not remove your listing — you can keep selling on the free tier and pay commission as usual.
- If you cancel and then rejoin later, current prices apply.
6. Failed payments
If a payment fails we mark the plan past due and try again. If it stays unpaid, plan features may be paused and the plan may be cancelled. We will tell you by email so you can update your payment method.
7. Founding memberships
Early bakeries may be offered a founding membership, which can hold a fixed price or free period for a set term. Founding terms are personal to that bakery, are not transferable, and apply only while the membership stays active.
8. Fees, refunds and changes
Plan fees are charged for the period they cover. If you cancel part way through a paid period, the fee for that period is not normally refunded — see the Refunds, cancellations and disputes document for the exceptions we apply.
We may change or withdraw plans and features with reasonable notice. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
