Commission and fees
Last updated 22 October 2026
1. Customers pay no fee
Using CakeConnect is free for customers. There is no booking fee, no service charge and no markup on a bakery's price.
2. Commission on completed orders
Bakeries pay CakeConnect commission on completed orders. The current rate is shown in your bakery dashboard and on the admin settings page in the app, and is a percentage of the agreed price of the order.
Cancelled, declined and refunded orders do not attract commission.
3. How and when it is recorded
- An order is only treated as commissioned once it is completed and not refunded, and a record is created for it.
- Each record shows the order reference, the bakery, the agreed price, the rate applied and the commission amount.
- Records for completed orders are visible in your bakery tools so you can see exactly what is being charged.
- If an order is taken outside the app but started on CakeConnect, it can be recorded too — tell us so the record is complete.
4. Collecting commission
Commission records are invoiced by CakeConnect and collected by bank transfer, monthly or as otherwise agreed with you. Records move from due to collected when payment is received, and can be waived at CakeConnect's discretion, for example as a goodwill gesture.
5. Queries and disputes
If you believe a record is wrong, query it within 30 days of the invoice. We will check the order against the quote, the status history and any refund, and correct the record if it is wrong.
6. Plan fees are separate
Optional plans are billed separately from commission. See the Subscription and billing terms for how plans, renewals and cancellations work.
